3 RULES FOR A CHEAT-FREE CLASSROOM

Cheating has never been easier, a professor laments in a new article. But he also offers three specific ways to curb the practice.
Dr. Michael Hartnett knows a little bit about academic cheating: He’s been a teacher, professor and tutor for more than 20 years.
As we all know, technology has made cheating easier than ever. But that doesn’t mean it has to be a losing battle. In his article titled
“3 Rules to Encourage a Cheat-Free Classroom,” Hartnett offers up three strategies to combat this age-old problem:
1) Ban electronic devices from the classroom. If calculators are needed for an exam, wipe out their memories before students get them.
2) Disallow bathroom breaks during exams.
3) Prohibit students from putting their hands below the tops of their desks. “Nothing good can come from students whose hands are hidden in their laps,” Hartnett says.

Y- ung my excitement, my thrill. Pwedeng may palaro, my brain teasers before discussion, yung alam mung my malawak na pag iisip and therefore, do activities and strategies na kapaki- pakinabang talaga with the students. Creative in teaching.
T- ime in class ay priority. Dapat punctual, di ba? Para sipagin ang mga students to be on time also.
E- numeration kind of test ay di kinahuhumalingan. I disapprove teachers who are fond of giving this type of test. Ang hirap kaya! In fact, retention of those memorized information, MALABO!
A- lam yung tinuturo. Alam kung anung specialization nya. Kung hindi man ganun, at least yung nagsusumikap para alamin talaga yung do’s and dont’s ng isang teacher. Ang hirap kayang maging inspired sa pag aaral lalo na kung alam mung di naman effective yung nagtuturo.
C- heerful dapat!:) para lively ang class. Iwas antok and hikab, free from pagtulog at tamad.
H- indi yung pakopya ng pakopya, paphotocopy ng paphotocopy ng kung anu-anong di tina tackle, hindi yung sinasayang ang oras sa sermon o kwento at higit sa lahat hindi yung nag eexam ng di naman napag aaralan.

“A teacher should all know about one thing and know a little about all things.”

TRUE
Right? To be an effective and efficient teacher, he/she must have holistic knowledge ( involving the mind, body, social factors, etc) about particular thing/ area in teaching. A kind of specialty, a MASTERY!!!
But that is not enough! Teacher must be able to cope up with other things, either easy or hard for them. He/ She must face it with willingness to discover and study other things, not just for the self, but also for the benefits of students’ learning.
