Self motivation, a Must have!
Self-Motivation
Wanting something is not enough. You must hunger for it. Your motivation must be absolutely compelling in order to overcome the obstacles that will invariably come your way.

It will not come as a shock to learn that self-motivated students are more likely to do well in college.
In high school, some students got along with parental motivation (‘If you don’t make good grades, young man, you will be in serious trouble! ) or peer group motivation (you’d be ashamed to have your friends know you were failing) You were also motivated to go to classes. (If you cut classes, someone in the office would know. You might end up in detention or being suspended, and your parents and friends would find out.
In college you are suddenly on your own. No one is forcing you to go to class. In some colleges, there is actually no requirement to attend classes. Students are sometimes told that, if they can make better use of their time doing research in the library or using the time to study, it was acceptable to miss classes. At these schools, administrators assume students are responsible and will make good decisions.....
The students who succeed will need to be self-motivated.
Motivation is a fire from within. If someone else tries to light that fire under you, chances are it will burn very briefly.

Motivation Invasion
MOTIVATION INVASION
I admit, that I almost lost my way.
I admit, that I almost lost my way.
I just decided, and merely acted to be just one of those “easygoing” students who are not worried whether they learned something or nothing at all. But I realized how hard it could be to think that I will endure that kind of system.
NO!
A big no, especially when my love ones support and MOTIVATE me.
But one thing is for sure, getting motivated greatly depends on yourself, on your own thinking and valuing.
In these past few days, I titled myself being a “tamadera”. It’s my own term which means “tamad, walang pakialam kung may professor o wala, kung magtuturo o hindi”. But I can’t take it for a long time. There’s a certain part of me that convince, not to do that.
It took almost a week or two that I attended classes with no product at all. I pertain product as my learning. Why? The reasons were the absence of my professors and most of the time, their unwillingness to teach us. It is unfair, right? So the students who have no right of criticizing them have only one choice, and that is “hardwork”. Hardwork filled with a great amount of MOTIVATION.
So to those students who have that kind of mind setting just like me before (a mind which thinks that it is a natural thing to be lackadaisical too when your professors do), we must cease it! Instead of imitating their actions, why not taking it as a challenge, an Oh!fortunE-ity!!, to excel and to prove that with our drive, learning is always possible.

Oh My Laziness!
“Laziness is a secret ingredient that goes into failure. But it's only kept a secret from the person who fails.”
Robert Half
CRAZY LITTLE THING CALLED “LAZINESS”
Laziness is a behaviour that almost all students are experiencing. Honestly speaking, today, I am one of those. But can I blame myself? Can I blame “many students” who practice that kind of unacceptable practice when I, do actually see and feel the irregularities of teaching that some of our professors are doing.
Maybe “blaming” is not the right term but....... I must say that they do a major factor whether the students become motivated and active in studying or become lazy, passive and just holding the idea of complying in attendance(presence)inside the classroom without authentic learning.
As a student who is concerned with my learning,as well as for others, I do hope that TEACHING METHODOLOGY of "some" of our professors shall be change and shall be improve for a better one.
One thing that I have in my mind right now????? it's the term "panghihinayang".
Panghihinayang sa kaalaman na pwede naman naming malaman....
